The music we make as Disciples Of Grace may be a little edgy or rough around the edges at times we will admit. First Let us explain to those who may have questions or a misunderstanding of who we are and our music.

First let me say we ARE a Christian hip hop group. We do have a vision to reach out to the lost and misunderstood. We know and have an understanding of not only our faith in Christ but also the world of the unsaved or some may call “secular”. We have been known to be called “sell outs” or “worldly” by other Christians because of how we may do what “we” are called to do. That’s to serve god.

We (D.O.G) as followers of Christ feel there is a responsibility to reach out to those who are really in need of a positive message in the music they listen to. Yes we are worldly in many ways, but no one is perfect GUARANTEED. Before judging, pointing the finger, or putting a label on another we must first look in the mirror and make sure OUR hands are completely clean before speaking out against anothers mistakes, or actions.

Our music is REAL! We speak on issues that everyone goes through on a daily basis saved or unsaved but especially the struggles of being a Christian. That do include topics such as temptation, how we think, speak, our worldly views dealing with politics, religion and our daily struggles not only as young men but as human beings.

We ARE IN this world but because we speak on these issues does not mean we are OF this world. We have an understanding of these issues because we WERE apart of these issues. We do interact, have friends and still keep the unsaved around us. Again we are followers of JESUS. We do not separate from those in need in order to keep up a reputation to please the religious. We do GOD’S work, No matter how you may look at it. Yes we will not only spread our music in the Christian community for those who support it but also the mainstream audience who need it. We will put our music on the so called “secular” mix tapes, perform in clubs, and do collaborations with mainstream artists. Us as Christians are supposed to plant seeds in those areas. As well as support those who are BRAVE enough to take it outside of the church, rather than call us “sell outs” and “worldly”. Honestly that shows a lot about a person’s character in my opinion, Lets stand up and fight together teach each other and grow together rather than push away people actually doing something positive. People always find something wrong with someone doing good. That’s worldly and un Christ like if you ask me.

Let’s build and make this more of a movement!
